A family owned Health facility Specializing in Post-Surgery Recovery, IV Infusion Therapy, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Post-Trauma Recovery, Wound Care and Infectious Disease Treatment is seeking skilled LVNs to join their team in Lancaster.
Summary: Seeking a strong Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) who provides basic care to the patients. For this job, it is essential for a candidate to complete a formal vocational nursing program, thus, it takes about 1 or 2 years to become an LVN. Qualities that a licensed vocational nurse must possess are excellent communication skills, compassion for the patients and their families, good interpersonal skills, flexible working, quick decision-making, problem-solving skills, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff.
- Assist with procedures such as phlebotomy, gastric lavage, spinal taps, and pain management techniques.
- Provide care for patients with infectious diseases, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Support senior care initiatives by offering compassionate assistance with daily living activities.
- Document patient information accurately and maintain confidentiality in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Educate patients and their families on health management practices and post-care instructions.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance nursing skills.
Qualifications:
- Three years’ experience as an LVN.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must have completed an LVN program.
- Superb written and verbal communication skills.
- Bilingual preferred.
- Strong time-management skills and the ability to organize and coordinate multiple projects at once.
- Strong self-starter and able to work independently.
